Seabee Day 2011

A couple weekends ago the base held its annual Seabee Day celebration. This being our first year here, I was very surprised that the whole celebration was completely free. The children had an absolute blast riding the rides, jumping in jump houses, playing carnival games, and going through some of the Seabee displays. We didn't get a chance to go through the craft & business booths, or see the car show, but we spent a long 5 hours there and I am so glad we went. I am also thankful that our friends, Sarah and Joel, were willing to walk around with my clan and help me keep an eye on all the munchkins!

Here's a look into some of our fun. The photo quality isn't the best, as I didn't want to haul around our good camera, so these were taken with Bella's camera.
The older three loved this swing ride... and Will was very upset he wasn't big enough. Poor guy, it's tough being the littlest one sometimes.
Playing at the "We Fight" part of being a Seabee:
Bella is such a great big sister:
They even had a petting zoo, which the kids loved. They wanted to go on the pony rides, but the line was so long, and well, I'm just not that patient.
At the start and end of the day, they had a tank parade complete with firing gunners. To say it was loud is an understatement, but it sure was cool.
We will definitely be hitting up Seabee Day as long as we are stationed here. And next year, we'll have our Seabee with us... hoorah, Seabees!
