Over the Hump, Baby!

Today we had an Over the Hump Party for Jake's battalion to celebrate passing our halfway point of this deployment. We actually passed it earlier this month, but the party was today, and we had a great time. The deployed Seabees also had celebrations today in Spain and Africa, which I thought was neat. Our party was on base out by Seabee Lake, and the afternoon was full of good food and lots of fun. The children got to play in a bounce house, enjoy fresh popcorn, have an egg hunt, and get their faces painted. I got to enjoy some time with friends and watch my children have a blast - always a good thing.

I didn't get many photos, but I did get some good shots of their faces all painted up. The face painter was very talented, and so nice!
Jacob chose a 'Go Gator':
 Addie and her rainbow:
 Bella's hibiscus:
Will's bee with a hardhat on:
The kids also came home with some cool toys from the egg hunts:

So for those of you unfamiliar with the Seabee, this is the Seabee that overlooks the lake... he brandishes the gun in his front arms, and tools in the other 4: a square, saw, wrench, and hammer.
Hoorah, Seabees!
We are so happy to be over the hump of this deployment. In fact, we are down to 3 1/2 months to go... woohoo!
