Science Museum of Western Virginia

This past Friday was Free Friday at the Science Museum of Western Virginia, so we took the kids for a quick trip on our way up to visit the grandparents for the weekend. Overall, the museum was underwhelming. We've been to quite a few children's museums and this one had a few interesting exhibits, but was pretty small in scope. We only stayed for about an hour and a half and we saw everything. However, since it was a free visit (instead of $34 for our family), I really can't complain about a couple free hours of family fun. The kids had a good time, but the girls, too, were hoping for more.

The giant plasma ball was one of the coolest objects there:

Jacob was scared of it, which cracked me up:

Watching sound move water:

Making music:

Seeing her face endlessly:

I've heard great things about the children's museum in Lynchburg, so we are hoping to visit it before we move. ;)
