Bella is Seven!

Bella celebrated her 7th birthday this weekend, too. Wow. It is so hard to fathom that it has been seven years since I was blessed to become a mother. I love seeing her grow and learn and develop into a little lady. She has a heart for God and others. And she is truly a very great big sister, always looking out for the little ones.

After a morning of fun with her friends we had her special birthday lunch - Nana's Eggrolls. I always let the children pick their favorite meal on their special day, and of course, Bella's choice is quite labor intensive. But that's okay, because it was her day! The eggroll lunch was followed by presents, cake, and her very special treat - pierced ears! I had always told the girls that they needed to wait until their 10th birthday to pierce their ears, but Jake was a softy and lowered the bar to age 7. Bella has been patiently waiting for a couple years and she was super excited.

They were a hit with all the girls...

Cake!

Our guests ended up leaving that afternoon around 3pm, and after a long weekend of playing hard, we were wiped out. Jake snapped this photo while Will was upstairs sleeping:

After we finally woke up, we headed out for the ear-piercing and a birthday dinner at Red Robin. Bella was a champ for her piercing... she didn't even flinch. And she was just glowing with happiness!
What a beautiful birthday girl!
