Exhausted Jacob

Today was a great day. We started with Bella's soccer game at 8:30am, followed by an afternoon feast with some of Jake's classmates from VT. We had 4 guests and lots of good food, a round of Bocce, and many laughs. However, the best laugh of the day by far was provided by Jacob. Since Bella's game was so early, we actually had to wake the boys up this morning. By midday, poor Jacob was exhausted. I had tried, unsuccessfully, to get him to take a nap earlier in the day. So as 3 o'clock rolls around and the adults are sitting down to our meal, I asked Addie to run upstairs and see what Jacob was up to. She reports, "He's in your bathroom taking a poop. He was almost asleep." I was busy rounding up the rest of the meal, and Jake had disappeared, so we all thought Jake had gone upstairs to wipe Jacob. When Jake reappears I asked him what Jacob was doing now, only to find out the boy is still waiting to be wiped. This is what I found...

And yes, he was PASSED OUT:

I managed to get him wiped and dressed and asked him to take a nap in our bed (since Will was napping in the boys' room).... but Jacob whined and refused. He stumbled to the playroom and crashed on the floor:

One busy day + one stubborn boy = one very exhausted Jacob. 

It was worth it... these photos will be great for future blackmail times.
