Addie's last soccer game

Addie finished up her soccer season this past Friday night. She was more than ready. I'm not sure if she was too young and easily distracted, or if she is just a bit too 'princessy', but Addie didn't really take to soccer. She says that she has no interest in playing again, but she really, really wants to take ballet. So, that will be our next adventure when we make it to Mississippi.

Addie spent a lot of time just not paying attention on the field. Ex: in one game, she took a detour to pick flowers during the game. Many times, instead of keeping her eye on the ball and going for it, she would skip or dance down the field as if she was trying to run cutely. She also spent a lot of time stretching, in her cute, Addie way. She is surely my "Princess Addie."

Waiting for the ball to get in play...

While going down the field...

Being cute while a teammate takes a fall and the ball is taken by the opposing team. Note her apparent desire to help. ;)

Before each game we (mostly Jake) would give Addie a pep talk: try to run for the ball. Pay attention to the game. Pretend that you are trying to get the ball away from Jacob (which she is pretty good at when playing at home). She did take action this game, at times.

Addie and her team (minus one boy who didn't make it for the last game).

All in all, it was a fun season. I was hoping that Addie would take to the sport, but it looks like we might need to stick with gymnastics and ballet for this girl.
