Our Choo-Choo Table!

Recently I noticed that anytime my boys were around a train table, they would become completely enthralled with the thing. Will is my 'choo-choo' boy through and through. He loves his train books and is always asking me to read them on a daily basis. Also, whenever he hears a train whistle (which is quite frequently) he always exclaims, "A choo-choo train!" and is so full of joy! So after searching for a used one, I decided to just go ahead and purchase one from Toys R Us. The train table came with a complete set of tracks, trains, and extras... but of course, nothing was assembled. It took me a full three hours to get everything completely assembled and set up, but I did succeed. I only messed up one part when I put two screws through a piece of wood because I didn't stop to realize that there were two different lengths of screws. Oops. I can't even tell you how many times during that process I would think, "Man, I wish Jake was here to do this for me!"

After taking inventory of all parts:
The finished product - a ton of pieces and 94 screws later (yes, that is an exact count):
The next morning was like Christmas all over again! It kept all 4 children entertained for hours, but I wasn't able to snap any good photos of the girls.

  1. I'm always pretty impressed with myself when I put something together also. But I like it better when Andy does it. :) good job, Julie!
