Haircuts

Before Jake left for deployment, he was always the one to give the boys their haircuts. On the night before he left, Jake helped me give the boys an HUI: haircut under instruction. I didn't do too shabby, but Jake still had to go back and make a few corrections. My first solo haircut came mid-January (long overdue) when I decided that the boys definitely needed a trim before their birthday party. However, I didn't use the right guards and therefore the end result was still a bit lengthy. So, I consider the haircut I gave the boys last Friday as my first solo success. It is hard to tell, but it is actually longer on the top and requires a fade along the sides. I am finally getting the hang of it. Thankfully.
