The weather here has been beautiful lately. So beautiful, that I find it really hard to drag the kids back inside after "recess" to continue school in the afternoons. We've been having extended breaks in the middle of the day and then not finishing schoolwork until 5:00 sometimes. But that is an advantage of home schooling; our schedule is very flexible, and I love it.
The kids rigged up a makeshift rope swing with a jumprope and a scarf. I'm sure that as a parent I should check this out for safety, but the kids have been using it for over a week and it's held up so far... and the fall is a really short one... and I'm just too lazy. Smile.
Jacob can almost always be found brandishing a sword (or in this case, a broom):

When Jacob is not outside playing swords, his next choice is to play sword fighting on the Wii. He's actually pretty good at it, although that's not very hard considering all you do is swing the remote like a sword:

This morning I woke up to Jacob on one side of me and Will on the other. Will brought along his blanket, three stuffed dogs, and a book. He comes prepared.
