Around the Block - Part 2

After our nice evening walk on Sunday, we hit the stores on Monday and bought the boys new bikes. At first, I was only shopping for Jacob, as I intended to move Will on up to Jacob's old bike. But as we were shopping in the store, Will was super excited about the bicycles, and then Bella said that sometimes it seems unfair that the younger kids never get anything new because they always get what the older kids had. So, being the sucker softy that I am, I let Will choose a new bike, too. When we got home, I took some photos of their new digs:

Jacob just took off on his big bike. At first, he fell over quite a lot, but I lowered the training wheels and that helped a good bit. He still took some spills along the way, but he's a tough little boy. Will, on the other hand, didn't do as well pedaling the second night. Maybe he has to grow into this bike, but it is the same size as Jacob's old one. I think the problem is that on this one, when you pedal backward it brakes the bike... but the other one doesn't have brakes at all. We will have to work on it.

After a while he took a rest for a bit...

...then decided to run around without his helmet. His head was soaked with sweat!

By day 2, Addie was practically a pro at riding a two-wheeler. The only real fall she took was a result of her trying to honk her new horn while riding. Oops. 

This time, even Bella was riding and having a blast!
