The Great Pumpkin Haul of 2010

When we visited the first pumpkin patch last week (see previous posts), the pumpkin choices were very slim. So I let the kids each choose a small $2 pumpkin with the promise that we would find some nicer, bigger pumpkins elsewhere. Then a few days later, I took them to the local produce stand and we all picked out some larger ones, and I scored a nice looking squash, too. Fast forward a few more days, and we were back at another pumpkin patch (with our cousins), but this time we could get any pumpkin for only $2 (combined with a $3 hayride). Sounds like a lot of pumpkins, doesn't it? Well, it is! Good thing our pumpkins can stick around through Thanksgiving. :)
