A Schoolroom - Hooray!

One of my goals when searching for our new home in Mississippi was to find a house with enough room for a schoolroom. For the past two years, Bella and I had been "doing school" at our dining table. Although it was doable, it was highly inconvenient, and I yearned for a place to really set up as our own space for school. So although our new house was a large step down in size, we managed to set up our first official schoolroom. Hooray! (Sorry about the weird colors... I'm not good at taking photos indoors at night.)

Looking in from the doorway by our foyer:
The boys have "their" table... which sometimes keeps them away from the big one. Sometimes. And a dry erase board for them to scribble on... which does keep them happy. Sometimes.
I was set on these two staples: a laminated world map and large dry-erase board. I even splurged for a magnetic board, which has already come in handy.
This is looking in from the kitchen door. The large cabinet houses all our school, art, and craft supplies.
Our UF diplomas... for inspiration.
There are a few more things I would like to finish off the room, but as it is full enough already, they may have to wait until our next move. But I'm okay with that... I am just thrilled to finally have a schoolroom of our own!
