While our friends were in town last week, we decided to take a trip to the local children's discovery center. I was impressed with the facility and the kids loved the place, so I ended up purchasing a membership... I'm sure we'll be taking many trips back over the next year. The center was very organized and I thought it had a great flow. I only snapped photos in probably half of the stations... there were just so many things to do and so much fun to be had!
Jacob and Will in the airplane:
Will, Asher, and the girls enjoying some Mexican food and clothing:
This was a really neat 3-story high place to climb:
Will insisted on putting these boots on... they were as long as his entire leg, and then he couldn't walk in them... but he was proud of himself nonetheless!
Addie caught a lobster!
Sailor Will:
Sailor Will and Construction Worker Asher... now auditioning for the Village People:
Bella snuck off to the art room while the kids were playing on the boat and forklift. She got to color a leaf with markers and then spray it with water.
This was a kayak set up in a "green room"... the kids could watch themselves on the TV screen and it showed them kayaking across a beautiful lake.
Some of the other stations that the kids spent a lot of time in were the grocery store, the science room, the train, and an old fashioned room with all sorts of dress-ups. It really was a neat place, and I'm sure it will help pass the time many an afternoon in our future. Smile.
