Last weekend we went to a birthday party at a park with a splash pad and playground. Our kids had never been to a splash pad before, and they
loved it. If you are unfamiliar with a 'splash pad' it is essentially a few giant sprinklers and fountains for the kids to run through. Although we had to convince Jacob that he did NOT need his cherished star float because there was no actual pool, we could not convince him to go in without his goggles. Silly boy.

The kids also had a blast on the playground. Addie has turned into quite the monkey... hanging on everything and climbing up the fireman pole. Will mostly stuck to the slides, while Jacob jumped from place to place.
A fun time was had by all.
There's a splash pad in Gulfport in a large park with a playground, down by the beach. It opened a couple of years ago, and my kids loved going there. The only problem was that there was so little shade, and in the HEAT of Mississippi summers, it was a little intense. But fun...
