Catching Shadows

Tonight as I was changing into pajamas Will had followed me into my bedroom. As I walked out of the bathroom and turned the light off, it left us in the dark master bedroom lit only by the hallway light pouring through the doorway. Will had his back to the light and was facing my dresser when he stopped and stared at his shadow. He took a couple steps, stopped abruptly, and stared again. Then he plopped down on his behind and started grabbing at the bottom of his feet. When that didn't work, he stood up and walked a few more steps, determined to figure this thing - his shadow - out. However, this took him too close to my dresser, under which half of his shadow seemed to have disappeared. So he threw himself down, peered under my dresser and said, "Ma!" He then spent the next 5 minutes reaching and pointing under my dresser, saying, "Ma! Ma!" and looking at me. It just melted my heart. So what did I do? I got on the floor with him and looked under my dresser... not trying to catch shadows but just trying to capture some precious moments with my little boy.
