This past year in Awana, Addie had a teacher named Mr. Buddy. She always told me that he was her favorite teacher, and a few times after class Mr. Buddy would tell me how much he enjoyed working with Addie. A few nights ago we were able to have Mr. Buddy and his wife, Coleen, over for dinner. It was a very nice and enjoyable evening, and I was very thankful for the opportunity to have them visit. The kids all loved Buddy and Coleen, and enjoyed telling them stories. They even convinced Buddy and Coleen to read them a few books!
After they left I felt very encouraged by their visit. Buddy and Coleen were so faithful, kind, and really made an effort to encourage us as Christians and parents. Before they left they prayed over us and our next journey as we get ready to move in a few weeks. It was a blessing, and I am thankful for the people that God places in our lives.
