It's been a LONG week...

Our run of sickness lasted yet another week, and for a while it seemed that we were never going to get out of this funk. Last Saturday, both girls woke up around 10pm just to make it to the bathroom and vomit. At this unfortunate turn of events, I executed a rescue mission for all of our precious daddy voice recordings. Here they are all lined up:
Earlier that night, I had put the girls' hair into sponge curlers while we all watched a movie. The girls were hopeful that everyone would be fever free for church, but no such luck. And of course, with the vomiting, it was a definite no-go for church. But regardless, Addie decided to dress up for the occasion of yet another day at home.
My pretty, curly-haired Addie:
Half-way through the day she put her own pigtails in... it was so cute!
With Bella, I took about 15 photos but she kept blinking at the flash. So the best I could get was to have her look away.
 My beautiful, curly-haired Bella:
On Sunday all the kids were still running high fevers, so we continued our weekend movie marathon. We watched 12 movies in three days. That is a lot of movies! We were fortunate to borrow some favorites from our friends down the street, which was a great help in the variety department.
Movie time:
Bella dozed off during one movie, too bad I can't remember which one!
By the end of Monday, the children had all broken their fevers, thank God! However, that much sickness wiped them all out for the rest of the week, and two days in a row all 4 children took afternoon naps at the same time.
I think these two look the most alike among the siblings:
Gosh I love this photo: the way Will is resting on his arm, his pouty lip, his long eyelashes. I could stare at my sleeping babies for hours... and sometimes I do!
Today Jacob fell asleep while he was watching his sisters do some crafting. I'm not sure why he didn't head to the couch or bed, but I thought this was adorable:
The girls hard at work:
My highlight of the week was getting a beautiful 'get well' bouquet of tulips from my love. They arrived the day after I went in to the doctor and found out I had bronchitis and pleurisy. I was absolutely miserable, but so thankful that the steroids and antibiotics worked! Tulips are a very close second to being my favorite flower (only inched out of the top spot by our wedding flowers, calla lilies). This is how they started straight from the box:
But only 8 hours later, they had bloomed beautifully:
 Aren't these just gorgeous!?!
Thankfully, we are now all well again! The kids have just a tiny bit of lingering cold symptoms, but are nearly 100%. I am feeling so much better and can breathe almost completely freely again. I still have to consciously take deep breaths to fill my lungs and after a few minutes of that I am winded and tired, but just being able to do so is amazing compared to a few days ago. I will never take breathing for granted again. By tomorrow, my goal is to be well enough to finally scrub those darn dirty floors!
