Happy Easter!

This year both Addie's birthday and my birthday fell on Easter weekend. This has happened before, and it always makes for a very busy weekend. However, since last year Jake was deployed for Easter, it was also an extra nice weekend this year. I love having my complete family together! As usual, we dyed eggs, made resurrection rolls, went to Easter service, opened Easter baskets, and hunted for eggs. The only thing we did differently this year is that we filled the plastic eggs with coins instead of candy. Not only did it cut down on the amount of candy in the house, but the kids were excited to fill up their piggy banks. This will definitely be a new tradition for our household.

Dying eggs:
All ready for Easter service! The boys had been growing their hair out and so Jake decided to spike their hair. I was already at the church to help with greeting that morning, and when the boys walked up I was quite surprised! I'm not a fan of the spiky hair on my boys.
Jacob, however, seemed to be rockin' the style!
Heading out the door to start the hunt! Jake let the kids come out one at a time, youngest to oldest. Bella was racing to catch up...
 Inspecting the spoils:
We had a blessed weekend and a blessed Easter. I hope you all did, too!
