Back in early April, my Adeline turned 7. Seven years old already!?! Yep. Time stops for no mom. For her birthday, the big event on the agenda was getting her ears pierced. For the longest time Addie said that she was going to wait until she turned 10 to get her ears pierced because she was scared of the needles. However, when Santa gave her an American Girl doll for Christmas that had pierced ears, Addie quickly came around to the idea. By the time her birthday rolled around, she couldn't wait to wear earrings!
She was a bit nervous, but didn't shed a single tear!
That afternoon, Addie caught a gecko in the house. She was proud. I especially love this photo because Bella is being all Bella in the background. Such a goof.
That evening we had Addie's (and Bella's) best friend, Haley, spend the night. Of course, we also had presents and cake, too!
She loves to make silly faces... this is a classic Addie expression:
This year Addie chose a rainbow cake, and it was a hit!
