Happy Birthday, Will!

My little boy is three years old now. In some ways it is very hard to believe. It's hard to believe that my little snuggly child is three now. It's sad to think that he might not have many more years of snuggle left, although I am hopeful as only a mother can be. Yet on the other hand, part of me has to remind myself that 'he's only three' on a daily basis. Being the youngest of four children, it seems that Will is older in some ways. He already plays like a big boy, keeping up with his siblings and never losing stride. And he often thinks and expresses himself on the same level, which leaves me surprised and proud all at the same time. I just love this little one!

On his birthday, Will was able to play with his best friend, Dylan, for a little while. Dylan will be four soon, which means he falls almost exactly in age between Jacob and Will. They are a perfect set of friends and the boys are constantly asking when we will see him next. I tried to interrupt their playing to snap a photo of the three of them together, but as little boys often are, they were too busy to stop for the camera.
I had asked them to get together and hug for a photo, but they interpreted that as a group hug. I was envisioning more of side-by-side shoulder hugs... but this is just precious.
That evening, we had our small family celebration. Will got to open a few little gifts... some new Chuggington trains. These are the first Chuggington trains that he owns, and they are a hit. He loves all trains, cars, trucks, and planes... a very typical three year old boy.
"Will, smile for the camera..."
He's never too sure about the candles...
 Make a wish!
After dinner, presents, and cake, we let Will pick out a movie of his choice. He chose Robots, which kind of surprised me because I would not have picked that as one of his favorites. After a little while he snuggled up to Addie...
And then he came and gave me some snuggles, too. That's my boy!
Happy Birthday to my sweet Will!
