'Twas the Night Before Christmas

We had a very nice Christmas Eve this year (or I suppose it would be last year, technically). We took the children to their first candlelight service and it was a perfect way to start off the festivities. When we came home we ate dinner, decorated cookies for Santa, and opened gifts from relatives. Our friend, Tai, spent the evening with us and even stayed the night so that she could enjoy Christmas day with our wild and crazy family. Smile.

Will loves to wear button downs and sweater vests. Honest. He picks them out on his own, and I love it. He's such a looker!
Addie dressed Tai up in this frilly headband. She's a good sport.
I don't know what this look is about, but I think he means business.
Time to decorate... and devour... some cookies!
And finally, the kids opened their gifts sent by relatives. They each got a blanket from Gramma and Grandad, along with books for the girls and teddy bears for the boys.
From Aunt Jenn, Uncle Adam, and their cousins we received some puzzles and an Angry Birds tossing game. They were all a hit and kept us entertained for the rest of the evening.
We finished the night setting out milk & cookies, then reading a few Christmas books...
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
