Fun With Sarah

Having a new puppy has been both fun and frustrating. She is teething like crazy, which means that she will chew on anything and everything... except her dog toys. We are still working on the housebreaking, but it really is going pretty well. It has been going a lot better than our two previous experiences with puppy training - and I think the biggest factor is that we have a fenced yard this time! That, and the fact that Sarah has been able to squeeze through the cat door so far, at least up until a couple days ago. She is now too big, so we've been keeping the back door open - thank goodness for beautiful fall weather!
We have been crate training her, and all the children just love the dog cage. They enjoy keeping Sarah company in there or pretending to be a puppy themselves.
Sometimes she enjoys laying on her back... it cracks me up.
The rest of these photos were all taken by the children... Sarah has quickly become a favorite subject matter for their photography pursuits. Now if we could only get her to stop barking at her reflections in her shiny dog bowls...
