Amma Performance

Last weekend the girls were in their first play, "Amma - The Story of Amy Carmichael," through the local homeschooling association. The play was an original production written by two high school students and an adult, which included several pieces of original music as well. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for the girls and they loved being a part of the play.

For Act I, the play took place in early twentieth century Ireland, so the girls were Irish schoolchildren. Addie is front right in this photo, while Bella is in the back row on the left (with the long-sleeved red dress).
 Addie singing out:
At this point in the song, Addie was supposed to turn around and hug Bella; however, at the start of the song, the other girls wouldn't let Bella get in the right spot so she had to move several spots to the side. Addie turned around and Bella wasn't there... it was so sad. Poor things.
 My cute girls:
For Act II, the play took place in India. Here are my little Indian schoolgirls:
Bella got to sing a small duet in one of the songs:
And Addie got to sit on "Amy's" lap. Amy was played by our friend, Darian, whom Addie absolutely adores. She was very excited to get this small part.
 The grand finale:

I'm not sure if the girls will have more opportunities like this when we move again, but I sure do hope they will. And if we ever end up moving back to Mississippi, I look forward to the possibilities!
