Gingerbread Houses

One year in Hawaii the girls and I decorated a gingerbread house, only to have it attacked by ants overnight. So this year, when we won a gingerbread house as a door prize, I wasn't too enthusiastic about the idea. But free is free, right? After some thought, I decided to pick up a second house for the boys to decorate, as I could foresee some tears and frustration if the boys were to ruin the girls' creation. I did all of the icing, and the kids put on all the candies. For the girls' house, they told me what icing decorations to put and where. It ended up being a really fun activity!
