This year for Thanksgiving week we headed up to Virginia for a visit with Jake's family. We stayed at his parents' house and his sister and children came to stay as well (all the way from Iowa). We had a wonderful visit and the children had an absolute blast spending so much time with their cousins. We came home with over 300 photos from the trip, so it was really hard to pick which ones to share on here. These are just a few highlights...
We spent a lot of time at the park not too far from Gramma and Grandad's house. We tried to get a shot of all the kids with Grandad but every time we went for the photo one or more of the grandchildren would run off. This was the best we could get...
Will and his cousin, Evie, were set in time out for one thing or another... pretty sure this was for not getting along. Obviously, Will has an opinion on this:While the women (and Evie) went shopping and Grandad was at work, Jake took the older 6 children on a hike through the woods.
I love this one. His thinking pose.
After a long day of playing hard, we put a movie on for the kids. The younger boys didn't last.
Jude followed Addie around a lot that week. It was sweet.
Will and Jacob at the playground:
We let the kids race across the baseball field. Jacob got held back by Will and then Will went down...
Jacob, Will, and Evie, sitting in a tree...
This is classic:
There were a lot of lightsaber battles:
Bella:
Addie:
This dog kept wandering onto the property... Jacob wanted to keep him:
Gramma, Grandad, and their 7 grandchildren. Their cups overflow...
Our visit was a great way to give thanks for our family this year!

So many great photos (out of 300, wow!)...I think hands down my favorite is the first of the Grandad and the kids on the slide, just a perfect in the moment shot.
